The sponsors

Every dollar adds new ground to a volume.

Walking carved paths is free, forever. Carving new ground (an image, ten seconds of film, a map) costs about 50 cents a scene, so each volume starts with a fixed number of scenes and stops growing once they are carved. Sponsoring adds more:

1. $1 adds about 2 scenes to the volume you pick. When its ground is all carved, those scenes carry everyone past it, and they never expire.
2. Your name goes in the corner of that volume’s frames. Every frame picks one of the volume’s sponsors to show, weighted by what they gave: give twice as much, and you’re seen twice as often.
